I use to watch Bob back in the day and even follow him with my hobby lobby setup to get the paintings in front of me. It was amazing to see this man start with a blank canvas and a palette of colors and end up with a mind blowing painting. In the same way God created His world. To narrow it down let’s just look at the garden.

We’re really not the planters or the trees and plants we see. Let’s view the people and things in our life as these.

If you’re discerning your calling into ministry you must get this concept this keep your candle lit. Otherwise you might blow it out in frustration or allow it to be put out by the winds running or moving out of frustration or discontent.

Understand we may all seem similar in the beginning but we’re not destined to be so as time pass. The scriptures say, one waters another plants but God gets the increase. Go forward knowing you have no control of the plants or trees growth, time of growth or their truthfulness. Also, the plants and trees aren’t meant to all be the same. This means that you may have to water outside your concept of the regulated norm. Remember scriptures spoke of Christ saying he didn’t just come for a specific people and elsewhere that God is a God of impartiality. This explains why the variations of the Garden. If there was no difference than the majesty and glory of God wouldn’t be perceived.

When Bob begins to paint he has a variation of colors and mixing them together he’s able to create trees, clouds and so forth. We’re created with a variation individually (natural/spiritual) but the beauty is in seeing us composed together like the trees and plants in the garden.

As you answer your calling understand this concept and how that no matter the geographical distance you go, spiritually, your journey is throughout your appointed portion of God’s garden. Comparing your calling to the task of a garden tenant will help you understand the need for patience, endurance, gratitude, reverence and submission. You’ll need this to understand that the increase (fecundity) of this garden is not yours but God and your joy is in seeing the beauty of God’s grace and impartiality flourishing in variation.
Try to sit through this painting without being distracted or skipping through. Just as the painting isn’t complete in seconds, God’s work is done in His time, not ours. Enjoy. Laugh. You Are Loved, Indeed.
