Its a blessing to know the Lord meets our needs in every area of our life. We have no other needs if we truly examine what’s needed. If we’re ever at unfavorable odds but willing to wait on G-d we will be given sufficient supply of the direction, counsel and grace to overcome the difficulties. David spoke about the valley and being in the shadow of death which makes us think of the valley as a bad looking place. However he mentions being led by still waters, given a prepared table in the presence of enemies with the outlook to goodness in the house of the Lord. Could we be experiencing unfavorable odds in beautiful places or when everything looks good? Indeed. But through this time G-d is there with His rod and staff to guide and discipline us and allow us to wait on Him to deliver us. So even when our good places or high points of life can be tainted by trials it doesn’t mean we’re alone. G-d is present and supplying us with what we need.
May G-d, the source of hope fill you completely with joy and shalom as you continue trusting, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may overflow with hope.
I give thanks to Adonai with all my heart, I will tell about your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you. I will sing praises to your name, G-d. Adonai! Our L-rd! How glorious is your name throughout the earth! The fame of your majesty spreads even above the heavens!
Goodness and grace will pursue me everyday of my life, and I will live in the house of Adonai for years and years to come.
